The Senior Fitness Skills Grand Competition 2024 for Toronto will happen on July 20th, 2024 at Bersy Park North, Markham. The event is organized by Colorful Cultural Association, and hosted by the association along with the Council of Newcomers Organizations. The purpose of this tournament is to encourage senior adults to be more active, be healthy and happy. It is more about participation than competition. The competing activities come in three categories of Tai Chi, Physical Exercise, and dance. It would include activities but not be limited to : Tai Chi Qigong, fans, swords, aerobic exercise, line dance, Yoga, Chinese folk dance, drum dance, group dance, Latin Duet, street dance, hip hop, waltz, etc. For more details, please contact Annie at 647-296-1638 or Esther at 416-823-2003. News conference was held to announce the event on June 16, 2024 4 pm at Stephen Leacock Community centre with the honorable presence of the heads of more than 10 associations and various media agents. Prestigious judges were invited to the conference as well. MPP Jean Yip sent her letter of congratulations. Markham Councillor Amanda Yeung came in person and gave her speech. This is a wonderful opportunity for teams and groups t o shine and showcase their talents, and a great time to learn from each other. Everyone is welcome to form their own teams and join the fun. Even if you don't want to compete, please come to Bursy Park North at 447 the Bridle Walk, Markham on July 20th 10-6 for the entertainment and excitement! The 2023 Dinner Party of the Colorful Cultural Association was held on the 19th February after three years of the COVID19 pandemic. The weather was exceptionally sunny and felt like spring. At 4:00 p.m., old and new members started gathering in the large Main Hall of Stephen Leacock Seniors Community Center They helped to arrange the venue. balloons, colorful flags, and monograms made everyone feel the festive atmosphere. Many members donated exquisite lucky draw gifts, and others brought elaborate delicacies. Many volunteers devoted their time and energy to the preparation of this event which was successfully carried out. Members also received a beautiful gift provided by member He Yi when they registered for the prize coupon. At the beginning of the event, the host invited the president Hao Xiaoping to give a speech which was full of gratitude to the directors, members, and sponsors. She also expressed her determination to continue to do a good job in community work and create a harmonious and healthy community. At 5:30, amidst the laughter, more than 70 members and friends began to eat meals in an orderly manner. During the dinner, the hosts Liu Huan and May Wang also invited the directors and teachers to draw out 28 gifts donated by the members. The lucky ones were all elated. At 6:30pm, the well-prepared activity started. Under the leadership of Sunny, all members danced "Good Morning Longhui", followed by Eric who taught a beautiful waltz dance, followed by lottery, and games, The performance set off one climax after another. Photographer Zhou Jun captured every wonderful movement in the lens. The final group photo left an unforgettable memory!

In 5th Feb, 2023, the Lantern Festival, Colourfull Assocation held the party in Fairview Libraary Theatre. All the ticket been sold, the performers and audiences had spent a happy night togehter! The party started with drum performance and dance - Steps of Spring, continueing with a lot of singing, dancing shows. The founder of Colourful, the sponsors, and city council all spoke on the stage wishing all the members and audiences happy Chinese New Year! Throught out the whole show, we had delivered the atmospher of spring to everyone along with traditional Chinese cultures and performances. We hope everyone a health and happiness new year!
